How is the bone & mother of pearl pieces made?The bone inlay furniture is made in the magical region of Rajasthan India, using honourably sourced bone and mother of pearl shell.
Each piece is handcrafted by artisans in a process that can take weeks. Delicate carved pieces of bone and shell are individually inlaid onto a wooden frame in elaborate intricate patterns. Layers of coloured resin are then used to fill around the bone and mother of pearl shell.
